System Compatibility

This service supports BMW and MINI F-series and G-series vehicles equipped with either of the following headunits:

1. NBT2 (EVO) Professional System (iDrive EVO ID5/ID6, Option Code 609, approx. production date from 06/2016)

   • Requires a minimum firmware version of “H”.

   • Fullscreen mode is supported on firmware version “N” through “Y”.

Note: Your car must be equipped with a Wi-Fi antenna. This antenna comes with option code 6CP (CarPlay preparation), 6NS (Enhanced Bluetooth), or 6WD (Wi-Fi hotspot).

1. EntryNav2 (WAY) System (EntryNav2 both 6,5″ and 8.8″ displays)

   • Fullscreen mode is supported starting from firmware version “O”.

Note: Your car must be equipped with a Wi-Fi port. Contact us to get this verified based on VIN. 

How Does the Activation Work?

We offer a fast, fully remote activation application pre-coded to your vehicle:

• For EVO Systems (Firmware H–O): Quick activation via a simple USB flash file. You will receive a digital file via email to load onto a empty USB stick.

• For EVO Systems (Firmware P–Y) & EntryNav2 systems (WAY): Fast cable-based activation using a laptop, an OBD-ENET cable, and our easy one-click activation application.

Order Requirements

1. VIN (Chassis Number): Please provide your vehicle’s 17-digit VIN during checkout, as this digital product is custom-ordered per vehicle and non-refundable.

2. Firmware Version Check: You can easily check your current firmware version in your car by going to: Navigation > Map > Options (iDrive controller) > Position and Version > Version Information (look for entries starting with NBTevo_XXXXX or 8 digits code underneatWAY).
